It just pisses me off when people judge like that. They can claim the moral high ground if they want, but most of 'em probably would've made the same shitty decisions as us if pushed far enough.

Yeah. It's not to the same extent as with you, but I am an 'outsider' where I live.

It's not as dramatic of a difference as it is in your case. Just...well. There is one country in my world that holds a good portion of the world power, and they don't take too kindly to outsiders. Living in that country can be difficult, especially when they can tell I'm a foreigner any time I open my mouth.

It's the only country that has universities teaching the branch of science I want to study.

Not that they would let me in as a student anyway. But just being around it and absorbing some of the information while I clean labs is the best I can hope for.
