My theory is that the act of murder feeds it somehow, and it must be fed, so the murders are being encouraged. But I don't exactly know that to be the case.
I asked Wrath about if there were other reasons, and they didn't... reject the idea. Their suggestion about how to figure it out was to explore this place better?
Then we talked about jail cell visions and the nature of executions, and... well, I was confused for most of it, but it sounds like there's something going on, at least.
I don't really know what to do about it. All I know is that there are some things we can go to the Avatars about, and some we have to solve on our own, and this is something we have to solve on our own.
I don't know that our "bodies" are really real, you know? They're uninjured, and update when we enter a particular room. And then they're destroyed, but copies of them exist in those pods.

Well, the thing that is feeding on souls is likely the creature. But I haven't wanted to discuss it publicly because it seems risky.
